Trump Rage Tweets GOP Sen. Bob Corker For Calling Out His BS as Someone Misses Shift at WH Daycare

President Donald Trump went on a Twitter tirade against one of his own party’s senators for not effusively praising the administration’s mounting failures Tuesday.

“Bob Corker, who helped President O give us the bad Iran Deal & couldn’t get elected dog catcher in Tennessee, is now fighting Tax Cuts,” Trump tweeted.

First, it’s unclear why Trump keeps blaming Corker for the Iran deal, which he vocally opposed and voted against. Corker did sponsor a bill after the deal that was passed with bipartisan support to give Congress authority to review any nuclear agreement before the president can lift any sanctions.

As far as getting elected dog catcher, we don’t have any polling on that but Corker won his statewide senate race 65-30 last time he ran, a higher percentage than Trump beat Hillary by in 2016.

He’s also not fighting tax cuts. Corker has come out to call on Congress to ignore Trump’s demands to cut a ton of taxes without any spending cuts to pay for those cuts. Corker voted to pass the budget bill Republicans are using to pass tax cuts, though he called the process a “hoax.”

That’s three false claims in just the first tweet. That’s not unimpressive.

“Corker dropped out of the race in Tennesse when I refused to endorse him, and now is only negative on anything Trump,” he continued. “Look at his record!”

According to The Tennessean, it was Trump who urged Corker to run for reelection after he decided to retire after his second term. As far as his record, this year alone he has voted nearly 88 percent of the time with Trump’s position.

“Isn’t it sad that lightweight Senator Bob Corker, who couldn’t get re-elected in the Great State of Tennessee, will now fight Tax Cuts plus!” Trump continued, repeating his first two false statements.

“Sen. Corker is the incompetent head of the Foreign Relations Committee, & look how poorly the U.S. has done,” Trump went on. “He doesn’t have a clue as the entire World WAS laughing and taking advantage of us. People like liddle’ Bob Corker have set the U.S. way back. Now we move forward!”

According to an analysis from FiveThirtyEight, the world’s confidence in the United States dropped 47 points after Trump took office following eight years of competent leadership. US favorability also dropped 13 percent. And that’s not even one year in.

According to the polls, the only two countries with a more positive view of the US under Trump than under Obama are Russia and Israel.

Corker fired back at Trump’s attacks in an interview with CNN, saying there was “no way” Corker would support Trump for reelection again and adding that the president has “great difficulty with the truth.”

Corker said Trump has “proven himself unable to rise to the occasion” and said he was “absolutely not” a role model for children.

“I think the things that are happening right now that are harmful to our nation, whether it’s the breaking down of — we are going to be doing hearings on some of the things that he purposely is breaking down — relationships we have around the world that have been useful to our nation,” he said. “But I think at the end of the day, when his term is over, I think the debasing of our nation, the constant non-truth telling, just the name-calling … I think the debasement of our nation will be what he’ll be remembered most for, and that’s regretful.”

Corker previously said “someone missed a shift at the adult day care center” when Trump attacked him on Twitter. This time he responded to Trump on Twitter, writing, “Same untruths from an utterly untruthful president. #AlertTheDaycareStaff”
