Trump Goes Ballistic on ‘Very Unfair’ FBI as the Noose Quickly Tightens Around His Neck

President Donald Trump renewed his attacks on his own FBI after disgraced former national security adviser Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to repeatedly lying to the Bureau about his contacts with Russia.

“I feel badly for General Flynn,” Trump told reporters outside the White House Monday. “I feel very badly. He’s led a very strong life. And I feel very badly.”

“I will say this,” he added, “Hillary Clinton lied many times to the FBI. Nothing happened to her. Flynn lied and they destroyed his life. I think it’s a shame.”

“Hillary Clinton, on the fourth of July weekend, went to the FBI, not under oath, it was the most incredible thing anyone’s ever seen. She lied many times, nothing happened to her. Flynn lied, and it’s like, they ruined his life,” he claimed.

“It’s very unfair,” he added.

Except there’s no evidence to suggest Clinton lied to the FBI, which cleared her of wrongdoing after an exceedingly long investigation into her use of a private email server as Secretary of State.

“We have no basis to conclude she lied to the FBI,” then-FBI Director James Comey testified to Congress in July 2016.

Flynn, on the other hand, pleaded guilty Friday to repeatedly lying to the FBI about his conversations with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

Flynn admitted to urging Kislyak not to respond to sanctions levied by the Obama administration, along with other calls in which he tried to get Russia to delay a United Nations vote on Israel.

According to the charging documents, Flynn admitted he lied that he didn’t ask Kislyak “to refrain from escalating the situation in response to sanctions that the United States had imposed against Russia that same day; and Flynn did not recall the Russian ambassador subsequently telling him that Russia had chosen to moderate its response to those sanctions as a result of his request.”

Trump’s attacks on the FBI Monday follow his weekend-long attacks on his own agency in which he complained that they “destroyed” Flynn’s life but not Clinton’s.

“So General Flynn lies to the FBI and his life is destroyed, while Crooked Hillary Clinton, on that now famous FBI holiday ‘interrogation’ with no swearing in and no recording, lies many times…and nothing happens to her? Rigged system, or just a double standard?” Trump tweeted Saturday.

Except, again, there’s no evidence to suggest Clinton lied to the FBI, according to the FBI.

“Many people in our Country are asking what the ‘Justice’ Department is going to do about the fact that totally Crooked Hillary, AFTER receiving a subpoena from the United States Congress, deleted and ‘acid washed’ 33,000 Emails? No justice!” he declared.

Many people are not asking this, because the FBI already investigated Clinton’s use of an email server and found no criminal wrongdoing.

“After years of Comey, with the phony and dishonest Clinton investigation (and more), running the FBI, its reputation is in Tatters – worst in History! But fear not, we will bring it back to greatness,” Trump continued to tweet Sunday.

Actually, it’s the president’s reputation that is in tatters. According to an NBC News poll, just 29 percent of Americans approved of Trump’s firing of Comey. And according to the latest Gallup poll, a record-low 33 percent of Americans approve of Trump in general.

And that was before Trump endorsed an accused child sex predator for a Senate seat.
