Fox News Host Eric Bolling Suspended After Allegedly Sending Sexts to Female Colleagues

According to NPR correspondent David Folkenflik, Fox News host Eric Bolling has been suspended pending the results of an ongoing sexual misconduct case at Fox News Network. Bolling allegedly sends lewd unsolicited pictures of his genitalia to female coworkers at Fox, prompting a series of complaints.

This is the latest in a series of scandals for Fox, which has been plagued with rumors of sexual misconduct dating back to the career of recently deceased Fox News founder Roger Ailes. Fox News has also been accused of intentionally pushing a fake story about murdered DNC staffer Seth Rich, in which they blamed the recently-deceased Rich for leaks of DNC information that were eventually attributed to Russian agents.

This story was allegedly signed off on by the White House in order to take attention off of Russian hacks that could have been the result of collusion between Trump and the Russians, and Hannity didn’t stop pushing the story until Rich’s family publicly asked him to stop.

Now, Bolling’s show “Cashin’ In” has been suspended, and Fox has issued the following statement: “Eric Bolling has been suspended pending the results of an investigation, which is currently underway.”

While it’s impossible to know exactly what happened this early, it’s clear that there’s a problem with Fox’s culture given the prevalence of sexual assault rumors at the network.

Eric Bolling has been suspended from Fox pending the results of a sexual assault investigation.

This could also be seen as an extension of the culture of sexism being promoted by Trump. In the same way that his victory legitimized the views of his racist supporters and lead to a spike in race-related crimes following his election, his treatment of women in the past signals to his supporters that this is an acceptable way to behave.

More than on solely the policy level, it’s becoming clear that Trump’s presidency is destroying the moral fabric of the United States, fostering racism and rape culture.

People need to be reminded that Trump’s behaviors cannot become the norm and that women and minorities deserve respect regardless of the fact that the sitting president is a bigot. If you agree, please like and share this message in order to ensure that Eric Bolling isn’t allowed to get away with allegedly harassing female colleagues.
